Alberto's Most Incomplete, Undocumented and Badly Coded
Stars! Mapper, Analyzer and Simulator

(called "StarAna", as in STARs! ANAlyzer, by friends)

The map display window

This window corresponds to the scanner pane in Stars!, what you see (planets and fleets) is controlled in many different ways....

The map control window

Here you have the basic controls to the information displayed in the map window. Several buttons have key shortcuts for faster access (e.g. keypad arrows to scroll around).

The planet status window

The information here is similar to the one you get from Stars! when you select a planet. The main differences are that you can "see" the habitability for a different race and access the simulation data which predicts the development. Some of information is displayed in a different, and some is not correctly displayed (e.g. defenses).

The planet simulation window

This just a browser which allows you to read the simulation data for the currently selected planet. I plan to add color to the different types of information as soon as I learn HOW to do it :)

The planet view list window

This window is a simple list allowing you to choose and load/save the possible planetary views. A planetary view is just a sequence of basic "planetary functions" which are summed one on top of the other to give all the needed information. Some views (like the "mineral concentrations" example shown in the map display) are simple, some are not....

The planet function editor

This window is a useful for non-newbie users who want to customize their planet views. Several basic functions are present and you can mix'n'match them to obtain the final result of your desires. Contrary to the rest of the features, this one is NOT simple to use.
